The Town of Varnamtown will implement paid parking for the boat ramp, effective this season:
April 1st through October 14th, from 9:00am-5:00pm
The parking lot at the corner of Fisherman Rd & Old River Rd will be designated for Varnamtown Property Owners Only. Property owners are allowed 1 free permit per season for each parcel.
41 Fisherman Rd is for Visitor Parking.
Parking Rates:
Tandem vehicles (truck & trailer): $40.00/day
Single vehicles: $20.00/day
No turn arounds with trailers in the businesses parking lots or driveways near the boat ramp. Turn arounds are only allowed in the town parking lots. This WILL be enforced.
Varnamtown is centrally located in Southern Brunswick County, just to the north of the beach communities of Oak Island & Holden Beach. The town is situated on the banks of the Lockwood Folly River and retains its identity as a fishing community.
